He emphasises the importance of service as the means of gaining free movement within the highest conceptions of spiritual life. What is real humility?

From a talk given on January 2nd, 1983 at Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math, Navadvipa. Śrīla Śrīdhara Mahārāja is asked the question "How do we develop sincere humility?" He explains the difference between real Vaiṣṇava humility and false humility without purpose. He warns that hypocrisy should not be indulged in the name of humility. We must understand this fundamental aspect of vaiṣṇava behavior if we are to progress in our spiritual life.
